I am Tharindu Bandara (aka luke) a portrait photographer who captures the raw, unpolished, and deeply personal essence of individuals through authentic imagery. Rejecting rigid styling and high-fashion commercialism, my work focuses entirely on the human connection—documenting real people, local creatives, and families in their natural elements.

I was born and raised in Sri Lanka, I moved to US at the age of 24 and over the years gradually self taught the art of photography, it brings a deeply personal, nostalgic perspective to my visual storytelling. Growing up with very few photographs of my own childhood, I discovered a profound purpose in the art of the camera: to create the timeless, tangible memories for others that I rarely had for myself.

My work is driven by this lifelong desire to preserve the fleeting moments that shape a human life. I love to reject sterile poses and high-fashion commercialism in favor of raw, unpolished, and authentic human connection whether documenting local creatives, families, or individuals on location.
